Blue Grass NESA

On May 19, 1972, the National Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America authorized the formation of the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) with the express purpose of bringing together Eagle Scouts of all ages so that they might be of greater service to their local councils, their communities, and themselves. NESA is composed of young men searching for dynamic and challenging leadership roles, and older Eagle Scouts who want to use their efforts and influence to form the kind of young men America needs for leadership. The objective of NESA is to serve Eagle Scouts and, through them, the entire movement of Scouting.

NESA encourages councils to form a local NESA committee, whose primary objective is to guide Eagle Scouts of all ages into service within the local council. The Blue Grass Council’s NESA committee is commonly known as Blue Grass NESA. Its purpose is to support the council’s mission and vision, to help the council achieve its Journey to Excellence goals, and to find and encourage Eagle Scouts to become active resources for the council’s leadership and programs.
