University of Scouting is a supplemental training opportunity for all adult Scouters. Many required BSA trainings are offered, but University of Scouting focuses more on the wide variety of non-required trainings that can enhance your ability to deliver an outstanding program.
Whether you are a new Scouter or a long-term veteran of the program, you can find courses to add more to your knowledge. Supplemental trainings do not replace the formal BSA training for your position, but instead fill in the cracks with additional information to help you become a well-rounded Scouter capable of supporting a well-rounded program.
This is an event filled with fun, fellowship, and learning. There are courses for Cub Scouters, Scouts BSA Scouters, Venturing Advisors, Commissioners, youth Den Chiefs, charter organization representatives, committee members, and interested parents and adults. Through the many trainings offered, the Blue Grass Council’s most experienced Scouters have the chance to share tips and information to make your position in Scouting more exciting and to help you provide the best available program for the youth in your community.
University of Scouting is held every November. For more details, check the calendar as the event draws closer!
